How many trophies will there be?
This question comes up all the time. I will try to explain how it works,
then provide a chart that summarizes the procedure.
- Single entrant classes will cause the entrant to be bumped to the
next higher class, as described in Appendix B, pg 220, in the 2002 Solo
II Rulebook.
- Classes with more than one entrant will award trophies using
the following technique. A trophy for 1st Place will always be
awarded. Additional trophies will be awarded at the rate of 1 trophy
for every 3 entrants in the class, with any fractions
rounded down. See the chart, below (note that this is the same as
the standard trophy awarding rules from the 2002 Solo II Rulebook):
