Brooksville Gate List
Policy
In accordance with our 2019 agreement with the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport, CFR SCCA® Solo® must submit a “Gate List” to the Brooksville-Tampa Bay authorities at least 7 days in advance of the date of our event. All individuals on site (participants or spectators) must be on the gate list or they will not be allowed on site.
Midnight Thursday of the Week Prior to the Event
Therefore, to attend an SCCA® Solo® event at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Airport, you must be on the SCCA® Solo® Brooksville Gate List by the Thursday at Midnight, the week prior to the event weekend, so that we can compile and submit the list to the Brooksville-Tampa Bay authorities on Friday, complying with the 7 days advance notice requirement. If you are not on the list, by our agreement with the Brooksville authorities, we cannot grant you access to the Brooksville site.
Two Ways to Get on the Gate List
- Register as a participant for the Brooksville event. During the registration process, you may add up to 5 guests at no cost.
- Put yourself and any guests you want to include on the Brooksville Gate List using the Brooksville Gate List Tool.
Length of time on list
Each time a name is placed on the CFR SCCA® Brooksville Gate List by any method, it will remain on the list for at least 12 months. This is a “rolling” 12 months, such that each time you register for an event or add a name to the Brooksville Gate List using the Brooksville Gate List Tool, your time on the list extends out for another 12 months from that new time.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
“I really want to/need to/must attend this event and I didn’t get on the list in time. Is there some exception that can be made for me?”
No. Our agreement with the Brooksville-Tampa Bay authorities is clear, and we risk losing the site if we violate the agreement.
“I’ve attended an event with a non-SCCA® club at Brooksville, and it’s too late to get on the CFR SCCA® gate list. Can I still come to the CFR SCCA® Brooksville event?”
No. Unfortunately, each club is required to maintain and submit their own gate list.
“I’m just going to watch, not planning to drive, and I’m not attending with any driver. Do I need to be on the Gate List? What do I need to do to get on the list?”
Yes, all people on site must be on the gate list.
“Do I need to submit my name to get on the list for each event?”
No. Once on the list, your name will remain on the list for at least 12 months. Each time you register for a subsequent event or add a name to the Brooksville Gate List using the Brooksville Gate List Tool, the time that you will be on the list extends another 12 months from that time.
“I sent you an email/text/instant message/tweet/postcard telling you that I wanted to get on the Gate List, but I’m not on the gate list. What happened?”
The two ways available to get on the list is by registering for an event or by using the Brooksville Gate List Tool to add your name and/or any guests. Both methods require you to be on the list by Midnight Thursday of the week prior to the event.
“How can I determine if I’m on the list?”
The new Brooksville Gate List Tool provides a means to search for your name. Based on your name, it will tell you if you are on the list, and the date at which you were placed on the list.
“I won’t have enough money to register until the day or so before the event. How can I get on the gate list in time?”
First of all, with our new registration site MotorsportReg.com, we do not charge you at the time you register; we charge you after the event has taken place if you did not cancel prior to closure of registration. But in any case, you can use the new Brooksville Gate List Tool at any time to put yourself and your guests on the CFR SCCA® Brooksville Gate List.
“Who are “guests”?”
Guests are any individuals on site that are not participating in the event by driving. This could include spouses, children, friends, family, or any persons desiring to watch the event and not participate.
“What about Deland/OCCC/Sebring/Daytona/etc…?”
At the current time and for the foreseeable future, this “Gate List” requirement and policy only applies to Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport based events.
